Picturesque village north of the State
The municipality is renown for its cacti. It has a village that blends so well into the landscape, it seems an extension of it. The streets are the same color as the land of the surrounding mountains, and the dome of the small temple rises above the area.
It has natural tourist attractions that are ideal for wanderings, such as walnut orchards or the Extoraz River. Swiming in the Oasis watering place is also a fun thing to do. Located 23 km away from the municipal head city, this place is surrounded by mountains that invite to climb them with its more than 500 meters of height and observe the red sunset reflected over the Hill of The Virgin.
The Paradise Canyon is only 10 meters wide. The waters of the Extoraz River flow across its slopes of black marble that stand out along 700 meters. Here you can practice abseiling, and visit La Guayaba Springs.
The petroglyphs are another natural attraction.
